We have a variety of residents at Mount Olivet. The majority are funded privately, but we do have some residents who are funded by social services and the NHS. A small number of our beds are within the fee levels that the local authorities are able to meet, the rest can be secured with a reasonably small top-up from personal or family resources, or by a one-off payment to a care fees scheme.
We work with a number of Independent Financial Advisors who can offer expert advice with regard to social security entitlements or private funding, including benefits and specialist schemes. The Financial Advisors are paid via a commission from the underwriting companies or on a fee basis. Charities such as Age UK and Help the Aged also provide financial advice; they are also remunerated by commission. However, we can also recommend a non-commission Advisor who offers free advice with regard to entitlements. We receive no commission for these introductions.
